我再说，以色列人不知道吗。先有摩西说，我要用那不成子民的，惹动你们的愤恨。我要用那无知的民，触动你们的怒气。
But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
又有以赛亚放胆说，没有寻梢我的，我叫他们遇见。没有访问我的，我向他们显现。
But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
至于以色列人，他说，我整天伸手招呼那悖逆顶嘴的百姓。
But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
弟兄们，我不愿意你们不晓得，我们的祖宗从前都在云下，都从海中经过。
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
也都喝了一样的灵水。所喝的是出于随着他们的灵磐石。那磐石就是基督。
And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
但他们中间，多半是神不喜欢的人。所以在旷野倒毙。
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
这些事都是我们的监戒，叫我们不要贪恋恶事，像他们那样贪恋的。
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
也不要试探主，（主有古卷作基督）像他们有人试探的，就被蛇所灭。
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
你们也不要发怨言，像他们有发怨言的，就被灭命的所灭。
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
所以自己以为站得稳的，须要谨慎，免得跌倒。
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
